Digging in camera mapping on SMODE (WIP)

A multi camera-mapping animation made entirely on SMODE, our real time compositing engine. This composition run at more or less 30fps on my computer (GeForce 780 GTX, core i7, lot or RAM). Waiting new implementations to do some more animations and visual effects if I have the time.
This one is a WIP, made in 2days. Here are some screenshots of the set up and a little video ^^.

Underground Smode camera mapping WIP

Here is an old matte painting of mine, I did the set up again in smode to try and test some of the new features of our software. This is a rough wip, the idea will be to try to do a little 2D/3D animation to test the new curve editor system of the soft ^^.

Here is some images of the smode setup and current results. On the last image you can see the vizualize tool (the green arrow) activated, this one allow you to see only a sub composition or isolate a 3D element. In this case, this is a composition projected on one of the 3D elements with one of the projections cameras.

You may notice some repetitions in the video stockshots (like the fire going out of the chimney), but as the composition runs in real time, this duplications are made in order to limit the acces to the hard drive and keep the framerate a little bit higher.

Rome Matte Painting

Here is a small matte painting / camera mapping of Rome I made the other day on Smode. The Idea was to have a travelling from a small street to the rooftops of Rome.


Generative Psyche

A composition made in Smode ( in different states. Basically it’s a Black and White rotating cube with a lot and lot of deformers. Moving it’s actually quite relaxing, maybe i’ll try to publish a gif of it later.

Cathedrale de Metz

Modelisation / Rendu / textures etc… de la cathédrale de Metz faite pour un petit film d’animation pour l’ouverture d’une galerie marchande à Metz. Logiciels utilisés : Maya / Photoshop / After Effects.

Modeling / Rendering / Texturing / Etc of the cathedral of Metz for a short animation movie we made at D/labs for the opening of a Mall. it’s not very accurate actually but we had a very few time to make a 6 min full 3D animated movie.
